The first UC MERCI Colloquium on music and science took place at the Atkinson Pavilion of the UCSD Faculty Club in the center of the UCSD campus on March 17 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Our invited guest was David Huron (The Ohio State University), a highly regarded music cognition researcher and author of Sweet Anticipation: Music and the Psychology of Expectation.
